NCI Academic Activity/Collaboration Grant

NCI in pursuance of its objective to build research ties between our member universities and India is making available 7000 euros for the purpose of funding projects or academic events in 2018.

Accordingly applications are invited for funding (for a max of 3500 Euros per project) involving more than one NCI member university along with an Indian partner to be held in 2018.

Who can apply?

Doctoral level researchers and above located at NCI member universities in collaboration with colleagues at another member university and Indian partners

What is covered?

NCI will provide a one-time payment of max 3500 Euros.

Deadline for applying

April 15th 2018 15th for Autumn 2018
October 15th 2018 for Spring 2019

How to apply?

An application should include the following:

  • CV of main applicant along with a list of research background/experience and publications/research projects and contact information (max 1 page)
  • Contact information of partner applicants both in other Nordic member universities and in India along with signed letters of intent.
  • Description of academic activity being considered and expected results in terms of Indo-Nordic cooperation and visibility for NCI (max 2 pages)
  • Activity Details including information about the planned dates, venue, expected number of participants, target groups, total budget, other lines of sponsorship, etc. (max 1 page)
  • Tentative Activity Schedule

Applications will be evaluated by an NCI Grants Committee based on the heft of the project description, academic credentials, potential for long-term Indo-Nordic cooperation and benefits for the Nordic Centre in India. The applications will be evaluate by the Grant Committee.

Upon completion of the event, the main applicant will be required to submit a written report to the Nordic Centre of India.

In case of several applications the NCI may offer a partial funding.
