Postdoctoral Researcher in Computer Science with focus on Computer Networking
At the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, research is conducted in, among other areas, distributed and communicating intelligent systems. Within this field, two research projects are currently underway focusing on the evaluation and design of future communication systems. One of these projects is centered on techniques for measuring and evaluating latency (more information here: Linux-eBPF), and the other investigates how satellite communication can be integrated with mobile networks (more information here: 6G-NTN-E). In connection with these projects, we are now seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work on tools, frameworks, and the evaluation of latency and satellite-based systems.
The successful candidate will work in collaboration with other researchers in the Distributed Intelligent Systems and Communications (DISCO) group. DISCO is a leading, internationally renowned research group in the field of mobile communication systems and services. Multiple research projects funded by European and national research organisations have created a highly innovative team of experts, with excellent research networks and working conditions for independent scientific work. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to this research environment in an open and collaborative way, as well as collaborate with our partners outside DISCO.
Due to the postdoctoral appointment’s nature as a career-development position for junior researchers, we are looking for candidates who have completed their PhD no more than three years before the application deadline.
