iNANO at Aarhus University is seekeing a Postdoc for a project in SERS enhancement via plasmonics for sensing - Vacancy at Aarhus University

Job description

This is a research position within a project focussed on quantifying small molecule concentrations in complex media (e.g. food matrices or soil) via nanotechnology approaches. The work will be carried out in the nanobiointerfaces group at iNANO with collaboration with the Department of Biology:

• You will be contributing to planning and design of the research plan
• You will be working with an interdisciplinary set of tools and approaches covering molecular biology, chemistry, materials science and physics.  
• You will be involved in developing sensor set ups based on SERS

These activities will be in close collaboration with a biology group.

Your profile

Applicants should hold a PhD in Nanoscience, Chemistry, physics or similar.

Required research experience:

• Nanomaterials fabrication via both cleanroom based and self-assembly based approaches
• Nanoplasmonics experience both experimental and simulations
• Experience with nanoscale sensor technologies
• Interdisciplinary research experience
• Experience of single molecule approaches

Required:

• Good written and spoken english

Preferred experience:

• International research visits
• Nanomaterials characterisation (e.g. SEM, TEM)
