Who we are

The Center for Quantitative Genetics and Genomics (QGG) is an interdisciplinary center for research and education in quantitative genetics and genomics. QGG is an international organisation with approximately 70 employees and visiting researchers from more than 20 countries. We perform basic and applied research often related to domesticated species and humans, but increasingly also on other organisms. Our focus areas include quantitative genetics, deep learning, machine learning, population genetics, integrative genomics, and bioinformatics. Most of QGG's staff is located at the central campus in Aarhus (the second largest city in Denmark).
Within Biodiversity research, QGG is actively involved in collaboration with the departments of EcoscienceAgroecology and Biology at AU, and plays an active role in AU-wide or National collaboration networks such as the AU Centre for Circular Bioeconomy (CBIO) and the Centre for Sustainable Agrifood Systems (START).
